Since I started to dabble around in processing/java over a year ago, code starts to feel like a natural, organic medium for me. Almost like learning the sensory and motor function to glide a pen with varying amount of pressure over a piece of paper, writing for loops and if statements become a subconscious reflex rather than distractive brain cracker.

Whats your opinion on drawing with code?

Can you show some of your work? Or of work by others? This seems like a very interesting field.

    Sure!
Here are some of my exercises http://www.bedarf.cc/portfolio/processing/

Loads of basics originate from Daniel Shiffman’s book Nature of Code and great inspiration can be found over at openprocessing.

Processing offers quite a steep learning curve for non-programmers and helped me getting my feet wet in the coding swamp.

Some of my favorite artist there are Raven Kwok and Diana Lange. Diana just posted a nicely illustrated animation called Dendrils.
